Mercari’s 10% fee applies to buyer-paid shipping too.
No payment processing fee for sellers — Mercari removed it in January 2025. Buyers pay a separate 3.6% Buyer Protection fee at checkout that doesn’t come out of your payout.
JellySell crosslists your items to eBay, Etsy, Mercari, Depop, Grailed, and Vinted in one click — and manages orders, messages, and shipping from one dashboard.
Mercari’s current structure is one of the simplest in resale: a flat 10% selling fee, charged on the combined total of your item price plus any shipping the buyer pays. There are no listing fees, no per-order fees, and — since January 2025 — no separate payment processing fee for sellers.
The catch most sellers miss is that the 10% includes buyer-paid shipping. If your buyer pays $40 for the item and $6 for shipping, Mercari takes 10% of $46, not $40. If you offer free shipping instead, the fee only applies to the item price — but the label cost comes out of your pocket. Direct deposit withdrawals are free ($2 only if a transfer fails), and Instant Pay costs $3.
Mercari charges a flat 10% selling fee on the item price plus any buyer-paid shipping. On a $50 sale, Mercari takes $5.00. There are no listing fees or seller payment processing fees.
No. Mercari eliminated the 2.9% + $0.50 seller payment processing fee effective January 6, 2025. Listings created before that date may still be on the old structure until updated or relisted.
Yes, if the buyer pays shipping. The fee is 10% of the item price plus buyer-paid shipping. If you offer free shipping, the fee applies only to the item price — but you pay for the label.
Standard direct deposit is free (a $2 fee applies only to failed transfers). Instant Pay to a debit card costs $3 per transfer.
